Mi Sol Montessori offers a 5-day program. It is our firm belief that your child's acquisition of the Spanish language can only be successful through consistent exposure to the language. In addition, our program is designed to meet State of Illinois Kindergarten outcomes. Our program allows a child to flourish academically in a natural fashion, through his senses in a carefully prepared environment. Day consists of exposure to the following Areas:

Practical Life. Environment is prepared to engage the child in practical life activities. Intended to captivate the child's interest as he effortlessly succeeds in these works.
Sensorial. Intended to create in the child an imprint of life through their senses. Works are specifically designed to familiarize a child with quantities, dimensions, change, form and distance. Indirectly, these activities prepare the child for mathematical concepts.
Mathematics. Is progressive and begins with simple concrete tasks such as counting and evolves to teach abstract concepts such as multiplication.
Science. Intended to teach the child about all forms of life.
Language. Exposure to the language materials teaches survival vocabulary in the Spanish language. As the child progresses, materials are designed for the preparation of reading and writing in the language. Preparation for reading and writing in English occurs in the afternoon program.
Cultural. Includes activities in areas such as art, music and world traditions. The works are designed to awaken the child to his environment.

3-6 year old, Pre-K to Kindergarten

*Morning Session 9:00 - 12:00 Spanish Immersion

*3/4 Day 9:00 - 2:30 Required for all Kindergarten children. 12:30-2:30 - English Kindergarten

*Full Day 9:00-4:30 the above plus after school care.

*Extended Day 7:00-5:30 includes before and

after school care. ( BEFORE SCHOOL AND AFTER SCHOOL AVAILABLE SEPERATELY)
